It is so hard to believe that the girls have been home four days short of three months already!  And (drum roll…) they are now official citizens of The US of A – complete with their new names and social security numbers on the way.  Re-adopting them here in the states was a must for the type of visa on which they entered the US.  But now, all is completed.  And once again, it was the Lord’s doing and timing, like every step of this journey has been, and answer to prayers prayed!!

I couldn’t help but reflect on the kindness of the Lord as we went, once again, to the courthouse downtown this morning for our official adoption court date.  This is the same courthouse where we have now adopted five children since 2006.  We came to this city and state in 2004 as a family of two and the Lord has certainly filled us up to overflowing.  His kindness and goodness just blows my mind.

I am including a photo of each adoption below.  Each picture will soon find its place in a row on the wall as a “memorial stone” (Joshua 4) for us to point our children to when they ask about their stories and adoption.  It is such a reminder of the Lord’s faithfulness and sovereign hand of love – and we want them, and all of the next generation, to know the Lord and His kindness towards His children.  He did this for us!  Let’s never forget that He will continue His writing upon our lives as He completes His bigger story of redemption.  Praise the Lord that we get to be a part of it.
